Not sure I know the answer to that but it is getting clearer the older I get ;-). I created this site to document and share some of my electronic and audio exploits. I started getting into "vintage" audio about 10-12 years ago when a good friend dropped off an old Sansui receiver for us to use in the garage. It sounded so much better than the black plastic box I had in the house. Next thing you know I'm collecting every silver faced, 70s built piece of audio equipment I could get my hands on. I'm still collecting on a regular basis but my taste have been "refined" over the years.
This interest (obsession) has led me down a path of educating myself through trial & error and research. I've learned a lot from folks at website forums such as Audiokarma.com and DIYaudio.com. These sites have been an invaluable resource of help and information. My focus has evolved from replacing lamps and capacitors to building amplifiers from kits and repurposing old amplifiers into chassis' that I create and add features or functionality too. I also like to mix form with function and add in a bit of, what I like to call, art.
I have a teenage son that is also interested in electronics and fabrication although his primary interest is in the computer industry. We work on projects together quite often. I had been looking for a way to showcase (show off ;-) the various projects going on at any given time. I tried Instagram but that didn't allow me the amount of content and detail I was looking provide. I'm not interested in making videos just yet so Youtube is out(for now anyway). A blog seems like the best way. I am a total novice at website creation and management but I will try hard to have it make sense.
I sometimes sell some of the pieces that I get repaired and, at some point, I may add a page for this but for now I will continue to use eBay. I don't really make any money at this hobby. I sell things to make room and help fund new projects.
I work a full time job that requires me to travel quite often, so there will be times that I won't be able to update. That said, I will do my best to stay current!
Thanks for reading this. I hope you find this site informative and learn from my mistakes along the way. There will be plenty to learn from I can assure you.

At some point I will (may) add a newsletter. For now I am keeping it simple...
